The purchase of a multi user licence for Dragon Preferred users offers a marked cost saving for the organisation in question. Available for 5 users up, cost per user decreases with each pricing bracket.
Pricing Bands for the Preferred V10 Edition are as follows;
- 1-4 Users _ £120.00 + VAT (single licences not multi user)
- 5-19 Users - £102.12 + VAT per user
- 20 - 50 Users - £93.18 + VAT per user
- 51 - 100 Users - £84,25 + VAT per user

VoicePower is a Nuance Premier Partner authorised to supply and support the Multi User licence option. Multi User licences can be purchased using the drop down list above to select your requirement. A media disk is automatically included in the purchase price. Headset microphones must be purchased separately. Preferred V10 - Key Features:
- Software learns and improves with use
- Continuous acoustic adaptation even when correction is not carried out
- Indicator on toll bar to display where packages fully support the select and say Dragon commands.
- Dictation box now permits for the formatting of text (not previously available in former versions)
- An accuracy rate of 99% may be achieved using Dragon version 10
- Added speed for document creation. Speech is produced at a much faster rate than type. In permitting transcription at the speed of speech, the production of emails and documents is made much quicker and easier.
- Avoid errors: With a vocabulary of over 300, 000 words (all spelt correctly) – making a spelling error is only possible if you amend a word incorrectly or alter what Dragon has presented!
- Basic voice commands such as the insertion of a signature by voice can now be achieved with the Preferred V10 version. This is ideal for completing complex multi step tasks with a single word or phrase. NOTE: for more complex commands, control and macro creation, the Professional version of the software may be required.
- In using speech to control the PC you reduce exposure to repetitive strain injuries. The health of your workforce is safeguarded! Please note that if a user has significant accessibility requirements the Professional version of the software may be more suitable.
Will Preferred Suffice?
The requirements of your end users and plans for distribution and maintenance or access are key considerations in determining the copy of software required to meet purpose.
- With Preferred, Roaming User Profiles are NOT available. Should you wish users to have access to their voice profile from a range of PCs on a network, the Professional version is required.
- Application Support: for those dictating into standard office application, the preferred copy is adequate. If you intend to use Speech Recognition with bespoke packages or to customise the software permitting navigation and dictation into in house databases, templates or clinical reporting systems, the Professional version may be required.
- Preferred does NOT permit the import ad export of macros and vocabulary – you cannot easily distribute amongst multiple users. For this, Professional is needed.
- Preferred will NOT permit a user to save audio with dictated file – for review or reference (which in turn this element allows for third party correction). Professional must be purchased if this working method is required.
- Preferred will NOT manage the automatic backing up of voice files - Professional is required
- Preferred is NOT the appropriate choice for users requiring a 'Hands-Free' speech recognition system - only a limited number of speech control is available with Preferred and cannot be expanded upon - Professional is required.
