Whether in a small office or a large networked facility, the SpeechMike is the accepted standard for PC dictation. Several models of SpeechMike let the user choose the model that works best for their needs. New - SpeechExec Pro v6 SR
This version includes the comprehensive Philips SpeechExec v6 SR dictation management software, including sophisticated integration with the Dragon NaturallySpeaking Professional series of speech recognition software (available separately).
Packed with features to manage the dictation process, SpeechExec Pro is the perfect complement to the SpeechMike. The PC based dictation software gives users real-time job tracking that lets authors monitor jobs in progress. Authors can assign priority status to a dictation and a work list with advanced sort and filter options gives authors the ability to manage many files and folders easily. Dictation can be sent to a typist for transcription or automatically transcribed via the built in interface to Dragon NaturallySpeaking software (available separately).
For speech recognition users, the SpeechMike offers a good alternative to the regular headset microphones. An extremely popular choice amongst professional users who conduct all dictation at the PC on account of it’s mouse navigation capability via inbuilt trackball.

New - Speech Control Utility
A new Speech Control software also allows to assign specific functions to the programmable buttons of the SpeechMike or configure the Philips foot control, allowing each user to customise the device according to individual preference. Pre-installed default settings make the SpeechMike ready for immediate operation with Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition software. For example pressing the 'REC' button on the Philips SpeechMike turns on your Dragon NaturallySpeaking microphone. This utility will be packaged with the Philips SpeechMike soon, it is free to download from the following area.

Click on 'Support Centre', click on 'Software Downloads', on the 'Desktop Dictation' drop list select 'SpeechMike Pro' and click the arrow to the right-hand side, then scroll down to the SpeechControl utility and download accordingly.

Compatibility:
SpeechMikes are fully compliant with Windows 2000 and XP and support drivers for 98SE and ME. SpeechMikes are also compatible with Citrix and offer hardware drivers for Linux. It's easy to upgrade from existing SpeechMikes, and they are compatible with the Philips foot control (for record, rewind and playback). Drivers and utility software are included.
