The DR 2000 is an excellent choice for anyone wishing to benefit from a digital dictation solution but without the mobile device option. The DR 2000 is a direct/fixed mike connecting to the PC or laptop via USB port. When accompanied by the AS 5000 transcription kit, a complete work flow management solution is put into place.
Files dictated by the author are immediately inputted and stored in the Olympus dictation module software. Pre defined file paths can be set across a network so that dictation is then automatically distributed for secretarial attention (whether this be a specific individual or secretarial typing pool). At this point, the typist can easily view, retrieve, manage and control dictation using the AS 5000 transcription kit.
For those without a network connection, files may also be sent via email.
