  • Creating a user profile
  • Understanding and controlling the Dragon tool bar
  • Dictation into standard Microsoft packages
  • Dictation into bespoke applications

Integration & Customisation

Where users are working with bespoke applications, in house databases or specially designed templates, integration and customisation work can also be conducted. This helps to ensure the speech recognition software runs successfully in conjunction with other packages; enabling direct dictation and navigation or control by voice. In some case additional training time is required for this type of work. For a quote or further detail, please Contact Us to discuss.

Where customisation is required for a specific department or group of users, integration work may be conducted once and rolled out amongst those it is applicable to. As an example, a hospital department requiring integration for a medical reporting system need not have work repeated for each user. Rather, report templates or SR commands can be distributed amongst all user via the network.

Group Training

Group training may be offered within organisation and business where end users have similar needs and work roles. This method is common amongst digital dictation and work flow solutions.

Speech Recognition or Assistive Technology Group training is normally not recommended but can be suitable where the requirements of all end users are identical and where the applications in use are standard.

In a large organisation where demand for software or hardware is high, and funds or time allocation limited, it may be most appropriate to arrange group training sessions or ‘train the trainer’ courses.

'Train the Trainer'

The ‘train the trainer’ format equips the designated trainee/trainees with the skills, not only to use the solutions, but to instruct and support other users. The course is a more intensive form of training than that normally provided to a single end user and can be structured to match the requirements of the organisation in question.

VoicePower staff are best positioned to advise where these approaches would suit so for further details and pricing information, please Contact Us for a discussion.

Workshops

VoicePower Ltd hosts group training and workshops at offices in West Yorkshire. For existing users, this is a great opportunity to brush up on existing skills whilst learning new tips and procedures without incurring the full cost of a one on one training course.
